What was accepted
Eight World Bank fiscal, spending, price and homicide series; eight OECD tax-household scenarios; three sex-specific ILO modelled working-hours series; and WHR life evaluation with published 95% confidence limits. WHR’s explanatory contributions are not social-support or freedom survey percentages. ILO’s 2026–27 projections and regional aggregates are excluded from the atlas.
Definitions matter
The tax wedge uses employer labour cost as its denominator and includes employer contributions; it is not the percentage deducted from take-home pay. World Bank tax-component shares use total revenue as their denominator. Work hours describe employed people, not free time for the whole population. WHR year labels describe the end of a three-year survey window; the latest is 2023–2025.
Still missing
Household budgets after housing and childcare, directly measured social support, loneliness, meaning and trust are not in this release. Trust and happiness cannot be reconstructed from modelled explanatory contributions. New metrics are available in the atlas and profiles; the experimental ranking specification remains unchanged.
